Lady Girl

A poem written inspired by and for my best friend. She loved it. =) I myself like the old Western feeling of this. Somehow reminds me of cowboys riding off into the sunset, leaving the poor maiden alone to pine for him who loved freedom more than her. Written last year or the year before.

Lady girl,
Do not weep
Lady girl,
Do not fret
Take time off from sadness
And maybe you will see
That perhaps it is not
Him you love
But Love you love

Lady girl,
Do not weep
Lady girl,
Do not fret
Love will come
And when I do,
Lady girl,
Do not turn me away,
Do not let Love’s heart break

Lady girl,
Wait for me
I will come
To take you in due time
